Why yes?
Affirmative Theory (AT) is the theory of 'yes,' which seeks to understand and define how human interaction affirms and constructs human culture. What do you affirm in your life?
AT describes people, places, and things as they are, including how people affirm constructs that seek to negate (i.e., negative statements) and how that facilitates an effect. So what are we getting AT? Clarifying social theory reveals the holistic and extraordinary truths that vitalize humanity and preserve its strengths.

I hope to develop this theory of affirmation, which will theoretically allow for a science of constructing affirmative frameworks that better support human equity and inclusion objectives (HEI).
ReplyDeleteAdditionally, this theory avoids forming moral judgments about cultures and various groups to observe cultural sensitivity. Instead of framing a group as 'good' or 'bad,' this theory describes how groups form consensus and consent to perceptions of self and others. AT could be described as a theory of consent and how a shared sense of reality is formed within cultural groups.
